Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Wellness Support Specialist/Medication Technician to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential medication management and wellness support to residents in a family style assisted living. Your expertise will help ensure safe medication administration, promote overall well-being, and support individuals with diverse needs such as dementia, and hospice care. Responsibilities:
Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while adhering to medical documentation standards Monitoring and documentation of resident's vital signs Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, insulin administration Maintain medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Support residents with daily activities related to senior care, memory care, hospice, dementia, and home care needs with compassion and professionalism Collaborate with nursing to coordinate medication administration Uphold patient confidentiality by strictly following HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive medical information Prepare and cook meals for residents following FDA guidelines Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents Preferred Qualifications Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments with a focus on senior or disability care Knowledge of medication administration techniques Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is highly Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and acute care procedures Experience working with individuals with cognitive impairments like Alzheimer's or dementia is advantageous Ability to handle medical documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards Excellent caregiving skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care Join us in delivering exceptional wellness support that enhances quality of life for our residents!
