Registered Medication Technician

Citizens Memorial Hospital Foundation (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Certified Medication Technician to provide exceptional care for our residents in Colonial Springs Long Term Care Center located in Buffalo, MO. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department:

Colonial Springs Healthcare Center is a 134- bed long term care, skilled nursing center. It includes a 34- bed memory care unit, as well as a 16-bed high-functioning memory care unit. These units meet the specific needs of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of Dementia.

A typical day includes:

A typical day will include knowing and applying current nursing theory, principles of treatment, and nursing procedures in the care of residents. Prepares, administers, and documents medications by all routes except those by parenteral routes. Utilizes references materials associated with medication administration to identify side effects, interactions, and nursing implications of medications in use in the facility. Identifies medication errors, completes event reports, and reports to charge nurse for follow-up action.

Job Requirements:

Education:

HS diploma

Experience:

Must currently hold a Certified Nurse Assistant Certification AND a Certified Medication Technician Certification.

Skills:

Good Communication Skills, Patience, Attention to detail,

Flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills Licensure/Certification:

CNA AND CMT

Physical:

ability to work at a fast pace with about 90% of the day consists of walking. The position is Full Time, Rotating.
