Lakeview Rehab and Nursing is looking for a compassionate, dependable Medication Technician to join our nursing team. As a Medication Technician, you will help ensure residents receive their medications safely and on time while also providing hands-on support, encouragement, and compassionate care. You will work closely with nurses, CNAs, and other members of the care team to help residents remain comfortable, safe, and as independent as possible. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, attentive to detail, and passionate about caring for older adults. Responsibilities Administer medications safely and accurately under the direction of a licensed nurse. Follow physician orders, medication administration records, and facility procedures. Document medication administration accurately and promptly. Report medication refusals, side effects, changes in condition, or other concerns to the nurse. Take and record vital signs as assigned. Assist residents with everyday activities and personal care when needed. Help residents stay comfortable, clean, safe, and as independent as possible. Get to know the residents you care for and provide companionship and encouragement. Communicate clearly with residents, families, nurses, and other team members. Follow infection control, resident safety, confidentiality, and abuse prevention requirements. Qualifications Must meet all Montana requirements to administer medications in a skilled nursing facility. Current medication technician or medication aide credential is preferred. CNA certification is preferred. Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, or another healthcare setting is helpful. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow medication orders accurately. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Dependability and good communication skills. Compassion and patience when working with older adults. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including assisting residents with mobility and transfers.
