Position Summary Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Medication Assistant will assist with self-administration of routine medications to residents. The Medication Assistant will also monitor residents for change in condition of the resident's physical or mental condition and report to the nurse. The Medication Assistant will be required to take vital signs and weights of the residents. Other duties as assigned within in the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Aide. Responsibilities Patient Care Provide routine medications to youth as prescribed in accordance with applicable YBGR policies and procedures, laws, statutes, licenses, and/or certifications. Monitor youth's physical or mental condition and report to the nurse. Take vital signs, weights, heights on youth. Goals Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization, both individually and as a team member. Fully support and model the mission and values of YBGR. Performance

Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana. High School Diploma or GED. Must complete and pass the YBGR Medication Aide Course within 30 days of hire date. Willingness and ability to obtain certification in First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention.
