Part-Time | 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Evening Caregiver / Medication Aide (Med Aide + PCA) in, NC! This part-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our residents during evening hours. As a vital member of our caregiving staff, you will deliver personalized assistance, administer medications, and ensure the safety and comfort of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and residents requiring specialized memory care. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a nurturing environment where residents feel valued and supported around the clock. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive personal care assistance to residents during evening shifts, including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and hygiene management. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Monitor vital signs, observe for changes in condition, and document all medical information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, and hospice support. Ensure safety by performing manual handling tasks safely, assisting with heavy lifting when necessary, and maintaining a secure environment. Communicate effectively with team members regarding resident status updates, changes in condition, or concerns about patient care. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of medication administration, vital signs, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA standards. Serve as Supervisor-in-Charge during evening shift hours when designated, per facility staffing requirements Light housekeeping in resident areas (tidying, laundry, dishes) - as a family care home, day-to-day duties are lighter than a larger facility Requirements Active NC Medication Aide / Medication Technician certification (required) Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments. NC personal care aide training (80 hours) - completed, or willing to complete within 6 months of hire. An active CNA credential automatically satisfies this Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly preferred. Ability to pass an SBI criminal background check and NC Health Care Personnel Registry check Reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you able to pass an SBI criminal background check and NC Health Care Personnel Registry (HCPR) check? Do you have completed NC personal care aide training (80 hrs), an active CNA credential, OR are you willing to complete PCA training within 6 months of hire? Do you have current CPR/First Aid certification, or are you willing to obtain it? Part of your role will be to prepare resident meals by following our approved NC Dietician Menu. Are you prepared to do so?
