In this vital role, you will ensure the safe, accurate, and timely administration of medications to our residents. Key Responsibilities Medication Administration:

Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered by attending physicians, while strictly verifying resident identity.

Documentation:

Review medication administration records (MAR) for accuracy; chart medication orders, and carefully document any instances of medication refusal.

Inventory Control:

Assist with ordering medications, clinical supplies, and equipment; promptly monitor and report any drug or narcotic discrepancies.

Team Collaboration:

Work independently with minimal supervision to prioritize tasks, while communicating effectively with nurses and the broader clinical team.

Requirements Certification:

Current Medication Aide Certification or a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the state of North Carolina.

Certifications:

Active CPR certification required.

Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Literacy:

Basic computer proficiency for electronic medication charting and internet navigation.
