This role is vital in providing safe, effective medication management and personal care assistance to residents across various shifts, including days, evenings, and overnights (please specify which shift you are interested in). As a Medication Aide, you will work closely with nursing staff to ensure residents receive their medications accurately while delivering exceptional support that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to residents following all safety protocols and state healthcare regulations Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or adverse reactions to medications Compliance with administering Insulin is a must Follow proper procedures for medication storage, handling, and disposal in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards Communicate effectively with team members regarding resident conditions, medication schedules, and care plans Qualifications Prior assisted living experience or nursing home experience preferred; hospital or home care background is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care practices Valid certification as a Medication Aide or equivalent state certification required; must maintain current license per State Board of Nursing standards Proficiency in eMAR via Point Click Care Certifications in First Aid and CPR are required Excellent communication skills for caregiver interactions and resident engagement while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations Join our team to provide compassionate, energetic support that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
