Job Description

Sunrise Senior Living seeks a Medication Care Manager to support residents in our senior living community through safe, accurate medication administration and monitoring. You will follow physician orders, use eMAR systems, track side effects, and promptly report changes in condition. Working in a compassionate, resident-centered culture, you'll collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and families to uphold dignity, respect, and quality of life. This role includes assisting with care plans, following safety and infection-control protocols, and participating in ongoing training and development. Responsibilities Administer medications safely and accurately to residents per physician orders and community policies. Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition. Document all medication administration and resident responses in e MAR and clinical records. Communicate with nurses, physicians, and families regarding medication-related concerns. Support care plans by assisting with basic resident care and wellness monitoring. Maintain medication carts, storage, and inventory in compliance with regulations. Follow infection control, fall prevention, and safety protocols at all times. Participate in training, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Educate residents and families on medication routines as appropriate. Collaborate with team members to promote a resident-centered, dignified environment.
