Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed medications to clients as directed by a licensed nurse and physician orders Accurately document medication administration in the MAR (Medication Administration Record) Monitor clients for medication side effects, adverse reactions, or changes in condition and report to nursing staff immediately Maintain proper storage, security, and inventory of medications, including controlled substances Assist with medication counts at shift changes in accordance with facility policy Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including NJ Department of Health guidelines Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding client status and medication-related concerns Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medication room/cart Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality (HIPAA) standards at all times Support clients in understanding their medications as directed by nursing staff 8am-4pm
