Medication Technician Job Description:

The Medication Technician is responsible for the accurate and timely dispensing of medications to patients in a medical office setting. The Medication Technician works with the Medical Director to develop and implement a specific medication treatment plan for each patient. The Medication Technician works with the patient's family members to promote understanding and communication regarding their patient's condition and treatment. The Medication Technician works with the Office Manager to ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately, promptly, and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 year experience working as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting. Previous experience with medication administration preferred. Valid driver's license and proof of insurance are required.
