Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Fairborn Assisted Living - 2.7 Fairborn, OH Job Details Part-time | Full-time | PRN $22 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Certified Medication Aide Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, particularly for individuals with disabilities. Your expertise in medication administration and patient care will be essential in promoting the well-being of our patients. Responsibilities Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications and report findings to the nursing staff. Assist with catheter care and other personal hygiene tasks as needed. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information and medication administration efficiently. Provide support and assistance to patients with disabilities, fostering a respectful and caring environment. Stay informed about physiology knowledge relevant to patient care, ensuring best practices are followed. Experience Certification as a Medication Aide is required. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in medication administration or patient care, is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Knowledge of physiology related to medication effects on the body is beneficial.
