Shift Details:
We are currently searching for a Medication Assistant to join the following shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Please note, this may change throughout employment as needed with notice.
Primary Responsibilities:
Providing residents with medication administration, treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders. Adhering to the narcotic and PRN policies of Aviva Senior Living. Reporting any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors. Maintaining resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations. Following the schedule of the resident's needs set out by the supervisor. Providing emotional and social support to residents. Adhering to all policies and procedures of the community. Fulfilling other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Regular and predictable attendance daily. Qualifications, skills, and abilities: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Certified in the applicable state to pass medications in the work setting. One to two years of related work experience preferred Skilled in caring for residents with memory impairments and secondary diagnosis. Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion. Ability to safely handle food in accordance with facility policies and procedures, as well as all state and federal regulations Strong knowledge and understanding of state regulations Ability to read and write in English Full-time employees can take advantage of: Medical/Prescription Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid time off accrued up to 15 days per year.
