RARE, so please do NOT apply if you cannot work 2pm-10pm . This job also requires daily assistance with meal times for our residents and assisting your fellow CNAs with ADL's on the halls. Duties Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and facility protocols, including oral, topical, and injectable medications. Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any adverse reactions or changes in condition, documenting findings meticulously in medical records. Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support, especially for individuals with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical documentation with care. Use electronic health record (EHR) systems like Point Click Care to update medication administration records and document patient care activities precisely. Provide specialized care such as catheter care, tube feeding assistance, and hospice or palliative support as needed. Collaborate closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and accurate medical records management. Requirements Valid certification as a Medication Aide (state-specific) with current licensure to administer medications in a healthcare setting. Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures. Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or those requiring memory care is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such Point Click Care; experience with medical documentation and recordkeeping is essential. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments providing acute or hospice care while demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
