Med Aide - Memory Care - (10pm - 6am)

Job Overview ennings McCall is looking for a NOC Medication Tech to join our team. This is a 4 on 2 off rotation. If you love seniors, then we are looking for YOU! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (All responsibilities are to be performed within scope of practice per state or provincial regulations.) Administers or assists residents to self-administer medications and treatments. Measures vital signs and weight. Collects, stores, and assures transport of certain specimens for laboratory studies. Adheres to all medication room systems per policy. Communicates with physicians, via fax, visit form, and telephone. Implements physician orders. Documents pertinent information in resident charts and elsewhere per policy. (e.g., incident reports). Communicates with Director of Health Services according to specified criteria. Adheres to home health and hospice protocols. Adheres to emergency protocols, including performing CPR and administering first aid as necessary. Acts as facility supervisor when management staff not present. Supervises resident assistants to assure daily completion of their duties. Assists in development and revision of service plans by informing Director of Health Services of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches. Observes for and reports resident problems (as reported by Resident Assistants or as listed in Observation and Reporting sections of Charge Nurse/Medication Assistant Resource or in service plans) and reports such problems to Director of Health Services. Reads Communication Log and Shift Report at beginning of each shift; enters pertinent information in Communication Log and Shift Report by end of each shift.
