Job Description

Mount Angel Towers' Assisted Living is looking for a Saturday and Sunday Day Shift Med Tech. Medication Technicians play a vital role in the health and wellbeing of our residents! If you have a passion for seniors and making a difference in their lives, we encourage you to apply.
This role does the following:
Administers medication and treatments to residents as instructed in the service plan Keeps accurate records in accordance with the Medication Administration Record (MAR) Follows directions of service plans for each Resident Provides support to caregivers as required, to include caregiving duties Conveys a warm, can-do, teamwork attitude and professional demeanor
Specific Responsibilities:
Administers medication and treatments to Residents as instructed in the service plan Follow doctor's orders and pharmacy directions to administer medication Verifies what is being given matches what is prescribed Visually observes the resident taking their medication Keeps medications organized, at the right temperature, and secured at all times Provides support to caregivers as required, to include caregiving duties: Takes and remains current on all training as required by the state Assumes the leadership role if the nurse and HC Administrator are absent Coordinates with and supports hospice Speaks to family members respectfully and answers questions Follows all protocols regarding infection control and hand washing Assists caregivers where needed, especially with lifts requiring more than one person, showers, or with feeding the Resident, or other activities of daily living Always maintains professionalism and discretion, especially regarding HIPPA regulations Conveys a warm, can-do, teamwork attitude and professional demeanor: Follows all safety protocols and OSHA rules Wears clean clothes and shoes appropriate with our uniform policy Remains calm during emergencies Performs other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications:
Prefer 6 months experience Ability to pass background check and drug test Customer service orientation Dependable and detail oriented Ability to follow directions and complete tasks Ability to become First- Aid certified, CPR certified and obtain a Food Handler's Card Mount Angel Towers is a Senior Living Community that has been owned and operated by a single family for over 50 years. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
