Our home is brand new to the Portland market, with 32 beds, a beautiful open concept floor plan and mission to provide unmatched care to every family in our community. We are currently looking for Full-Time(6am-2pm). One years of caregiving/med tech experience and knowledge of Dementia and related diseases preferred. Responsibilities
  • Our Med Tech are responsible for providing assistance and support with residents' activities of daily living.
  • Provide quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the company's philosophy and policies, state/federal regulations, and resident rights.
  • Assist residents in meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Assist with resident activities, encourage, remind, and assist residents to participate in activities.
  • Encourage residents to eat meals in the dining room by escorting and assisting during meals as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning the dining room after meal service, as assigned.
  • Assist with tidying up the residents' room or apartment.
  • Assist with cleaning (or disinfecting) resident equipment, as needed.
  • Assist with residents' personal laundry, as assigned.
  • Dispose of bio-hazard waste according to OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Carry out all resident care duties following Standard Precautions with appropriate application and removal of personal protective equipment.
  • Med Techs-Pass Medications following safe guidelines.
  • Work with Health Services Manager to get all paperwork completed and up to date.
  • Be the lead on the floor. Communication, Observation and Documentation
  • This position also plays an instrumental role in observing, reporting, and documenting mental, physical, or behavioral changes that may indicate an acute illness or decline in overall health.
  • Observe and report changes in the residents' appetite and physical ability to eat and drink.
  • Respond to resident emergencies following proper company policy and procedure.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and confidential resident care records, according to company policies and procedures.
  • Notify the supervisor on duty immediately when a resident becomes severely ill, injured, or presents with a change of condition.
  • Notify supervisor of concerns or questions presented by the resident or residents' family members.
  • Report immediately to supervisor any employee incident/injury.
  • Report immediately any safety concern. Educations and Training
  • Dementia related training will be provided at orientation and maintained annually to meet CEU state requirements.
  • Customer Service and food service training is provided on sight. OSHA certified food handler's card is required.
  • CPR certification through the Red Cross and The American Heart Association is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and willing to undergo a background check. Interpersonal Skills

  • Proper body mechanics when lifting and follow safety guidelines according to community policies and procedures.
