Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration and provide personalized resident care within a senior living or healthcare facility. Duties Administer prescribed medications accurately to residents following all state healthcare regulations and facility policies Monitor residents' vital signs, response to medications, and overall health status, reporting any concerns promptly Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Document medication administration and resident care activities thoroughly in electronic health record (EHR) systems Support residents with specialized needs including tube feeding, catheter care, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic pharmacology related to medication administration Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or similar platforms Strong understanding of state Board of Nursing regulations and healthcare compliance standards Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility Excellent communication skills for caregiver collaboration and resident interaction Certifications in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and medication administration are required or highly preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease is advantageous Knowledge of hospice care principles and home & community care practices enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive resident support Join our team where your skills will help improve quality of life for our residents!
