We are looking for a dependable, organized, and compassionate Wellness Assistant / Medication Technician to support our Director of Wellness and help coordinate the day-to-day healthcare needs of our residents. audits and medication documentation reviews . Assist with medication cart audits. Identify and report medication discrepancies or documentation concerns. Communicate with pharmacies regarding medication orders, refills, changes, and deliveries. Assist with maintaining accurate medication records. Support medication-related compliance and quality assurance activities. Healthcare Coordination Schedule physician, specialist, dental, therapy, laboratory, and other appointments. Arrange transportation for residents attending appointments. Communicate appointment information with residents, families, responsible parties, and staff. Coordinate with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacies, home health, hospice, therapy providers, and other healthcare professionals. Assist with obtaining and maintaining provider orders and healthcare documentation. Follow up on outstanding healthcare needs and report concerns to the Director of Wellness. Resident & Family Support Provide professional and compassionate assistance to residents and families with routine healthcare coordination. Assist families with appointments, transportation, pharmacy communication, and related needs. Communicate resident concerns promptly to the Director of Wellness. Help ensure residents receive timely and appropriate follow-up. Records & Documentation Maintain accurate and organized resident healthcare records. Assist with audits and quality assurance activities. Monitor documentation for completeness and report discrepancies. Maintain strict confidentiality of resident information. Staffing Support Assist the Director of Wellness with monitoring daily staffing needs. Help identify coverage gaps and assist with finding appropriate coverage for call-offs. Communicate staffing concerns promptly. Provide direct care or medication assistance when needed and within your qualifications and scope of practice.
What We're Looking For Required:
Previous experience as a direct caregiver in assisted living, personal care, memory care, skilled nursing, or a similar healthcare setting. Current Medication Technician/Medication Aide certification , or the ability and willingness to obtain certification. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and follow-through. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities. Professional communication skills when working with residents, families, providers, pharmacies, and staff. Dependable and willing to assist with staffing needs when necessary.
Preferred:
Experience with e
MAR/EMAR
systems. Experience with medication carts and medication audits. Experience communicating with pharmacies and healthcare providers. Experience in assisted living, personal care, or memory care.
