Our Residents Shift:
4/Pay 11p-7a At Londonderry Village, we're dedicated to providing personalized, person-centered care that honors the individuality and dignity of ever elder we serve. As a Medication Technician on our Personal Care (PC) unit, you'll play a key role in supporting our residents' well-being. You'll safely prepare and administer medications and provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), all while following each resident's personalized care plan. This is more than a job- it's a chance to build meaningful relationships and help seniors living with comfort, respect, and independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Support Health & Wellness:
Administer medications and treatments to residents as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and compassion in every interaction. Stay onTrack:
Record all medication administration and treatments using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with attention to detail and compliance. Follow theRules:
Meet all regulatory requirements set by the PA Department of Human Services, including timely completion of medication administration training and renewals. Lead withConfidence:
Take charge of the unit during your shift to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.Act Quickly:
Report any incidents or changes in a resident's condition promptly to the PC Administrator or their designee. Document withCare:
Complete incident and change-of-condition reports thoroughly and on time.Keep Us Stocked:
Reorder medications, treatments, and nursing supplies as needed to ensure consistent care delivery.Listen & Respond:
Address resident and family concerns with empathy and professionalism and communicate issues to the PC Administrator for resolution.Provide Personal Care:
Assist residents with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)- including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- following individual support plans.
Be Emergency-Ready:
Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies or disaster situations.Maintain Privacy:
Uphold strict confidentiality standards in line with HIPAA and all applicable privacy laws. Follow thePlan:
Recognize each resident's unique care needs and deliver services according to their individualized care plan.Work Safely:
Perform all duties with safety in mind, following established policies and procedures. Qualifications What You Bring to theTable Age & Readiness:
Must be at least 18 years old to meet state licensing requirements.Educational Foundation:
High school diploma or GED required to get started.Certified & Qualified:
Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Medication Technician certification or be willing to obtain upon hire.Safety First:
Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.Experienced Caregiver:
