Job DescriptionAssists residents with activities of daily livingAccurately and safely prepares and administers oral, ophthalmic, optic, nasal, rectal, and topical medications prescribed by the physician. Verifies the identity of the resident before administering medication or treatment; checks the medication three times before administering for correct resident, drug, and dosage, form, route, and accurate time and frequency (e.g. 1 hour after meals)Ensures that all medications administered are properly labeled.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent requiredCompletion of a recognized Medication Administration course is a plus1 year experience or training working with older adults or in the retirement housing industry is preferredAdditional InformationDepending upon the status of the position, Asbury offers generous benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401K with match; PTO and paid holidays.
