Job Description
Lead Medication Technician Shift:
7:00am-3:00pm Spring Oak at York York, South Carolina Spring Oak is proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work . We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and compassionate Lead Medication Technician to support our Wellness team. This position combines direct resident care with leadership responsibilities, helping ensure medications are administered safely, documentation is completed accurately, and residents receive high-quality, person-centered care.Responsibilities:
Safely administer medications in accordance with physician orders, community policies, and state regulations. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Medication Technicians and caregivers. Help coordinate shift assignments and promote clear communication among team members. Maintain accurate medication administration records and other required documentation. Monitor medication carts, medication supplies, and storage areas for organization and compliance. Assist with medication cart audits and promptly address documentation or medication-related concerns. Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Provide personal care, assistance, and supervision to residents as needed. Follow individualized care plans and promote residents' dignity, comfort, and independence. Work under the direction of the Director of Wellness, licensed nurse, or designated supervisor.Qualifications:
Current medication administration certification required by South Carolina. Previous experience as a Medication Technician, preferably in assisted living or senior living. Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans. Compassion, dependability, and an understanding of the aging process. Ability to work collaboratively in a resident-centered environment.Shift:
