Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Certified Medication Aide administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents in a skilled nursing facility under the supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely delivery of care in accordance with Texas regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer oral, topical, and other approved medications as ordered Observe residents and report medication effects or concerns to the nurse Document medication administration and maintain accurate records Assist with medication storage, inventory, and infection control practices Support residents with daily care needs as assigned Follow facility policies and state/federal compliance standards
Requirements:
Current Texas Certified Medication Aide certification and active CNA certification Listed in good standing on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry Experience in long-term care preferred Knowledge of medication administration procedures and resident safety Strong attention to detail and communication skills
