Double Weekend Shift Job Summary:
Wedgewood Nursing Home, a leading provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in Texas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at our Fort Worth, Texas facility. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing exceptional care in a warm and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments to residents as prescribed by their physicians and as directed by the nursing staff Monitor residents' responses to medications and report any adverse reactions or concerns to the nursing staff Provide basic care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Assist with vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature checks Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and resident care Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life
Requirements:
Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in the state of Texas High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training in a healthcare-related field preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible scheduling, including double weekends
