Responsibilities:
Administer medications to residents as prescribed by their physicians, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team Conduct vital sign checks and monitor resident condition to ensure prompt identification of any changes or concerns Provide direct support with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of licensed nurses Assist with wheelchair transfers, ambulation, and other mobility needs Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control practices and reporting any hazards or incidents to the supervisor Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting holistic resident care and satisfaction
Requirements:
Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in the State of Texas High school diploma or equivalent required; completed training program in medication administration and medication aide certification preferred Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and healthcare staff Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents, as needed; may require bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods
