Role:
As a Med Tech/Caregiver at our assisted living facility, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. This position involves both assisting with personal care, mobility, and companionship, as well as accurately administering medications and maintaining proper documentation. If you're compassionate, detail-oriented, and dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors, we'd love to have you on our team!
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED. Med Tech delegation preferred but not required Assisted Living/Long Term Care experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for delivering personal care to their residents while meeting their physical, mental, and social needs. Reports any concerns or changes with residents' health status. Practices good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health. Performs job duties in accordance with best practices and residents' plan of care. Helps residents maintain independence and promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident. Assists residents with activities of daily living (i.e., showering assistance, dressing/grooming, meal prep/tray service, bed making, etc.) as instructed. Assists residents with medication as defined in medication procedure; assists or supervises residents who self-administer the medication; follow physician orders and state laws to administer medications to residents who cannot self-administer their medications, and exhibits an understanding of and follows medication policies and procedures. Laundry service, daily tidying of building, and trash collection Engages residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities. Conducts self in a professional manner and in compliance with facility policies. Promotes positive interactions with internal and external customers, visitors, residents, and team members. Provides excellent customer service that supports resident care. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Participates in the identification of staff educational needs.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times. and make a difference every day!
