We are looking for a dependable, caring, and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide to join our team. Position Summary The Medication Aide is responsible for the safe administration of medications, monitoring residents for changes in condition, documenting care accurately, and supporting caregivers in providing exceptional resident-centered care. Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders and Texas Assisted Living regulations. Observe residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition and promptly report concerns. Accurately document medication administration and resident observations. Communicate effectively with caregivers, physicians, pharmacies, home health agencies, hospice providers, and families. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed. Maintain medication carts, medication rooms, and treatment areas in a clean and organized manner. Follow infection prevention and control practices. Respond appropriately to emergencies and resident incidents. Help create a warm, respectful, and engaging environment for residents. Qualifications Minimum 1 yr of Medication Aide Experience. High school diploma or GED. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and dependable transportation. Preferred Experience working with residents living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. CPR certification. Familiarity with electronic medication administration records (eMAR).
