Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a high-energy, disciplined, and detail-oriented RA /MA who understands that their job does not end at the med-cart. At JL Butterfly Estates, we provide a structured, supportive environment for youth. You will be responsible for the safe administration of medications, but you will also serve as a mentor, coordinator, and essential team member in daily operations. This is not a desk job. We need a "do-it-all" professional who is committed to the success of our residents. You must be multi-talented and prepared to work with teens (ages 14-17) who may present with crisis mental health needs or elopement risks. You must be comfortable defusing high-stress situations and capable of safely supervising up to 4 youth with little to no supervision. Key Responsibilities 1. Medication Administration & Clinical Oversight Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and state regulations. Maintain impeccable Medication Administration Records (MAR) with zero errors. Monitor residents for side effects or behavioral changes and report to clinical staff immediately. Manage medication inventory, including reordering and ensuring all supplies are secured. 2. Residential & Youth Support (The "Everything" Part)
Direct Care & Safety:
Safely oversee 4 youth residents, ensuring all safety protocols are followed, particularly for those with elopement risks.
Crisis Intervention:
Actively use de-escalation techniques to defuse behavioral challenges and maintain a calm environment.
Daily Operations:
You must be willing to clean and cook. This includes meal preparation and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the home.
Mentorship:
Act as a positive role model, providing guidance and emotional support. 3. Documentation & Reporting Provide detailed input for Monthly Progress Reports and Quarterly Reports. Document resident progress toward service plan objectives and family involvement. Ensure all status updates regarding discharge planning are marked as "Ongoing."
Requirements & Qualifications Certification:
Current State-Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Registered Medication Aide (RMA).
Reliability:
Punctuality is non-negotiable. You must show up to work on time for every shift.
Experience:
Previous experience with youth in a residential setting or crisis mental health is highly preferred.
Competency:
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision while managing multiple priorities.
Mindset:
A "no-excuses" attitude. You see a problem, you fix it.
Background:
