Position Summary The Registered Medication Aide is responsible for administering medications to residents in a timely and accurate manner while following all Medication Administration policies and procedures. Working under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and the Director of Assisted Living, the RMA supports residents' health, safety, and overall well-being in accordance with physician orders, company policies, industry standards, and state and federal regulations. Essential Responsibilities Administer medications in accordance with Medication Administration policies and procedures Accurately document medication administration and resident observations Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed Ensure resident safety, comfort, and dignity at all times Follow physician orders and individualized care plans Maintain compliance with company policies, state regulations, and industry standards Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members
Note:
RMAs may administer approved medications but may not administer injections, IV medications, or medications through G-tubes, J-tubes, or nasogastric tubes.
