Job Description

Lincoln House is a non-profit, Residential Care Home near downtown Barre. The night shift involves getting residents ready for bed assisting in the mornings, and most importantly, being available throughout the wee hours to address various needs and concerns as they arise. There are 2 medication passes during the 12 hour shifts. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are night owl types, or otherwise benefit from a job with nontraditional hours. On the most peaceful shifts, there are large expanses of time that can be filled with helpful tasks or some down time snuggling with cats and doing rounds. Prior experience with the elderly is helpful but not required, we are happy to train! Training can take 2-6 weeks depending on the experience and needs of the applicant.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Self motivated, dependable, and enjoy working with people All applicants must pass a background check Passing score of 90% or more on written medication test after orientation Duties include, but not limited to: Medication pass Checking vital signs, blood glucose, giving insulin injections Documentation Recordkeeping Laundry Light Housekeeping (emptying trash, cleaning the cat litter box, dusting, wiping down surfaces, etc.) Compensation +
Benefits:
Nightshift earns a 10% differential with a 5% additional differential for weekend nightshift. Overtime paid for holidays. Fulltime employees are eligible for health insurance, dental, and vision. Sick time is earned. All benefits are eligible after 3 months of employment. Part-time employment considered as well. Please apply!
