Caregiver Job Description Residential Care Home Position Title:
Caregiver
  • 3pm•11pm Position Summary The Caregiver provides direct care, supervision, and support to residents in a residential care setting.
Responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence, ensuring resident safety, supporting emotional well-being, and maintaining compliance with facility policies and state regulations. Every other weekend required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including: Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance Mobility support and safe transfers Continence care as needed Observe and report changes in residents' condition. Assist with restorative and therapeutic activities as directed. Assist with medication administration according to facility policies and state regulations Provide supervision and ensure safety Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment. Assist with laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned. Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain free of hazards Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and coworkers Attend staff meetings and required training Participate in care planning and resident service planning meetings when requested. Qualifications
  • Previous caregiving, healthcare, residential care, or assisted living experience preferred.
  • Experience working with older adults, dementia or disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to provide compassionate resident-centered care.
  • Strong communication and basic documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to recognize and report changes in resident conditions.
Pay:
$18.00
  • $19.
50 per hour
