It is imperative that you are honest, detail-oriented, on time, and present professionally at the practice. approach will ensure smooth operations and exceptional client service. In this vital role, you'll manage billing processes, handle phone calls and scheduling, medical records requests, and provide administrative support to our team of mental health professionals. Experience in healthcare claims management, medical coding, and customer service will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial transactions and fostering a welcoming environment for clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mental health care delivery while honing your skills in medical billing, coding, and office administration.

  • Desired hours: Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 9am-5pm, Wednesday 9am-2pm, Thursday 9am-2pm, Friday 9am-1pm
  • Duties Prepare and submit insurance claims using healthcare claims management systems, ensuring accuracy with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10, and ICD coding standards Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to optimize collections Contact insurance companies to find out reasons for denied claims and learn to resubmit Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality and security of patient information Assist with appointment scheduling, patient intake, and managing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems or EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding billing issues, insurance questions, or appointment scheduling with excellent customer service skills Support the administrative team by managing correspondence, filing documents, making copies, sending medical records, etc.
Stay updated on healthcare regulations related to medical billing and insurance policies to ensure accurate claim submissions Experience Prior experience in medical office administration or healthcare billing is highly preferred Familiarity with medical coding including ICD-10, and ICD coding systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and billing software applications used in healthcare settings Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently Strong understanding of health insurance processes and healthcare claims management procedures Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for handling medical records and billing documentation Exceptional customer service abilities to address client concerns professionally and empathetically Join us in making a meaningful difference by supporting mental health professionals through efficient billing practices and compassionate administrative assistance.
