Monitor group dynamics and intervene appropriately to promote positive interactions and maintain a safe, respectful environment. Conduct behavioral assessments and collect data on participant progress to inform treatment plans and document outcomes accurately. Assist with intake procedures by gathering relevant medical history, behavioral information, and vital signs in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support clients in understanding their conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, or substance use disorders through clear communication and compassionate guidance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, clinicians, and medical staff to coordinate care plans and ensure continuity of support. Maintain detailed medical documentation, records of group sessions, incident reports, and other required records following organizational policies and medical terminology standards. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols when necessary. Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers while adhering to medication administration procedures. Engage in ongoing professional development related to applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, addiction counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities. Skills Proven experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral or educational settings. Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, or other mental health conditions such as addiction or trauma-related disorders. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with social work principles and patient-centered care approaches. Excellent behavior management skills to guide participants toward positive outcomes. Competence in medical documentation, including maintaining detailed medical records using appropriate terminology while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques applicable to behavioral interventions. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly following HIPAA guidelines.
