The facility is developed for the purpose of providing non-medical treatment and rehabilitation services to adult mental health patients with chronic mental illness. The SRF will provide rehabilitation services that will help reduce clients' readmissions or return to acute care facilities, hospitals, or institutions. The goal of the SRF program is to assist clients in reentering and functioning independently in their respective communities. Under the direction and supervision of the Administrator, the Mental Health Worker/Direct Care Staff performs essential, ongoing operational duties within a Social Rehabilitation Facility (SRF), with primary responsibility for meal preparation for clients and daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility to ensure a safe, sanitary, and compliant environment. The position requires sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks, while providing continuous client supervision and supporting basic program and social activities as assigned.Supervision Received:
The Mental Health Technician/Direct Care Staff receive supervision and directions from the Administrator.Supervision Exercised:
None. %< of time Duties & Responsibilities 45%- Facility Maintenance Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and orderly facility environment in compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
- Meal Preparation Prepare and serve meals for clients in accordance with program guidelines, dietary needs, and food safety standards. Clean and sanitize food preparation areas and equipment. Assist clients with meal-related activities as appropriate. Requires standing for extended periods, lifting to 15 lbs., and safe use of kitchen equipment. 20%
- Client Supervision, Rehabilitation Activities & Documentation Provide continuous client supervision, maintaining line-of-sight as required to ensure safety, including conducting Q15 safety checks for clients while in their bedrooms.
