In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with disabilities. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. Whether working in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, or via telehealth platforms, you will be at the forefront of mental health support and intervention. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage urgent situations effectively while ensuring client safety and well-being. Facilitate intake processes for new clients, including medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and detailed patient records management. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical research findings and best practices in behavioral health. Utilize telehealth experience to provide remote therapy sessions while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality. Maintain accurate medical records and document progress notes using appropriate medical terminology and CPT coding for billing purposes. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state law. Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology support, grief counseling, and crisis management. Familiarity with
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding systems for diagnostic purposes and medical documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance. Strong skills in working with children, adolescents, individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, geriatrics, or special education populations. Experience in inpatient or outpatient clinical settings with a focus on behavioral health or mental health counseling. Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and familiarity with ICD coding for accurate diagnosis documentation. Ability to handle crisis situations efficiently while demonstrating excellent behavior management skills.
