DSP/SLS & ILS

Instructor to deliver comprehensive support and training to individuals with disabilities, including those with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, and cognitive disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health, special education, and community care, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach. This role involves implementing individualized plans, assisting with daily activities, and fostering an environment of growth and independence for our clients. Duties Provide direct support to clients in their homes and community settings, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, hygiene, and meal preparation. Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's unique needs, including behavioral management strategies. Facilitate skill-building activities that promote independence, social engagement, and personal development. Utilize effective communication techniques, including American Sign Language when appropriate, to enhance client interactions. Collect data on client progress and behavior to inform ongoing care plans and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Administer medication safely following established protocols and maintain accurate medication records. Support clients during transportation using personal vehicles or agency transportation resources while ensuring safety at all times. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental disabilities in a behavioral health or social services setting. Knowledge of special education principles and strategies for supporting clients with developmental disabilities. Experience in caregiving roles involving home & community care environments. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Proven track record of working with clients who have cognitive disabilities or intellectual disabilities support needs. Valid driver's license with experience operating standard passenger vehicles for client transportation purposes. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in medication administration or data collection are advantageous. Pay:

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 21.0 - 28.0 per week
