Job Summary Job Summary Behavior Aide 5 hours Daily 10:00am-3:00 PM Loyalton Elementary School $17.11 - $23.20 Dependent on Experience Under the direction of Site Administration, Educational Services and Special Education, the Instructional Assistant-Behavior supports classroom teachers in implementing behavior intervention plans, collecting behavior data, and reinforcing positive behavior strategies for students with identified behavioral needs. This position assists in delivering instruction to individual students and small groups. Responsibilities also include supervising students with behavioral needs across various school settings, supporting transitions, assisting with student toileting and personal care, and responding to behavioral incidents. The Instructional Assistant - Behavior helps maintain a safe and structured learning environment and performs a variety of clerical duties in support of the instructional and behavioral programs.
Prefer one year of experience working with educationally and/or special needs students in an organized setting, and knowledge of behavior management theory and techniques.

Requirements / Qualifications
Must possess a high school diploma or education equivalent to graduation from high school and a passing score on the District Proficiency Exam. A CBEST passing score or AA or BA fulfills the exam requirement.Prefer one year of experience working with educationally and/or special needs students in an organized setting, and knowledge of behavior management theory and techniques.
