Soliant is seeking experienced Behavior Aides to support students in special education classrooms within a partnering school district near Salinas, CA . This position begins as an on-call substitute role with the opportunity to transition into a part-time or full-time position as openings become available, based on performance. Assignment Details:

Flexible, on-call scheduling Hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on district needs Some weeks may offer up to 35 hours Other weeks may offer as few as 7 hours Typical workday includes: 7 paid hours 30-minute unpaid lunch Primarily elementary school assignments School locations will vary throughout the district Candidates must be comfortable with same-day assignment notifications and maintaining open communication $24-26/hr compensation, based on experience

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 behavioral support or classroom assistance in Special Day Class (SDC) settings Implement positive behavior intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques Support students with behavioral, emotional, and academic needs Assist with classroom routines and activities Provide toileting assistance when required Ensure student safety while maintaining a supportive learning environment Collaborate with teachers and school staff to promote student success

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of school-based behavior experience Experience working in behavioral or Special Day Class (SDC) environments Comfortable working with students who may display aggressive behaviors Comfortable providing toileting assistance when necessary Knowledge of positive behavior interventions and de-escalation strategies Reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check without special approvals Ability to complete onboarding and credentialing quickly TB testing Drug screening Livescan/fingerprinting Physically able to keep up with active students throughout the school day Strong communication skills and flexibility with on-call scheduling Professional references required

Preferred Qualifications:
