In this role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of adaptive skills programs designed to foster independence and improve quality of life. Your leadership will inspire a team of dedicated adaptive skill professionals to deliver person-centered care, ensuring each individual's unique goals are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Supervise and mentor direct support staff to ensure high-quality delivery of adaptive skills training and behavioral health interventions Develop individualized plans focusing on daily living activities, social skills, communication, and community engagement for each person served Oversee data collection related to progress tracking, behavior management strategies, and medication administration as needed Coordinate transportation for community outings and assist with driving responsibilities to facilitate participation in social and recreational activities Assist with teaching and supporting activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support plans are in place Maintain accurate documentation on client progress, incident reports, medication logs, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory standards Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral health needs Strong knowledge of special education principles and behavior management techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals of all ages and support teams Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support in home or community settings Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive clients safely as needed Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus for effective communication with diverse populations Experience in data collection, social work practices, or home & community care environments preferred This role is vital in fostering independence while ensuring safety and well-being.
