S-designations:

Associates Degree or higher, 48 college units and a high school diploma, passing of CBEST and high school diploma, or passing of the instructional aide exam and high school diploma. Additional requirements may include certifications in CPR/First Aid, emergency medical training modules, or experience supporting students with specialized needs; see position specifics for details. Willingness to assist with toileting, diapering, feeding, g-tube feeding, and other supportive tasks as directedrefusal to perform assigned duties may result in dismissal. Team-minded with a flexible attitude; able to be placed wherever needed within the school by campus administration. One year of direct care experience or relevant educational background is highly preferred for some designations (e.g., S10Q). For S20

fluency in sign language systems; for S20

V:

coursework in Braille or related vision-impaired backgrounds is preferred; S22 requires a California LVN license plus CPR and First Aid certification.
