Our dedicated team provides personalized care to ensure an environment that allows healing for anyone that walks through our doors. We are currently searching for a dynamic individual to become the Withdrawal Management Specialist (Full Time & Pat Time) for our unit. This position assists in coordinating and monitoring patient activities and day-to-day operations of the assigned withdrawal management unit during the assigned shift. All positions require pre-employment drug screening and background checks. Candidate must be able to work the second shift (4 pm to 12 midnight) and graveyard shift (12 midnight to 8 am).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: include the following and other duties may be assigned. Takes vital signs as required (we provide training). Conducts intake screens and assesses potential patients. Obtains pertinent information regarding patient drug/alcohol use, medical and social history, and patient needs. Provides information to the agency physician regarding medical issues and medication clearance, and monitors medication according to operating policy and physician's directions. Provides case management services to all patients enrolled in the withdrawal management program. Conducts individual and group sessions. Completes necessary paperwork. Monitors patients throughout the shift. Assists in medical/mental health treatment referrals and informs supervisor of all incidents beyond the scope of the normal withdrawal management unit. Verify the accuracy of monitoring reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
:
Education :
Minimum of HS diploma or GED. An AA or BA degree in human service or related is preferred. Current Certify Addiction Technician (CAT) or ability to obtain CAT within 18 months of hire date required.
Experience :
Prior experience with substance abuse providing direct patient care, assessment, triage, crisis intervention, and group counseling.
Other :
Solid communication skills and basic computer skills are required. CPR and First-Aid certification. (Initial training and renewals paid for by agency). Must be able to take vital signs and recognize medical problems.
