Committed to fostering a supportive and structured environment that promotes personal growth and the development of coping strategies. Responsibilities Provide compassionate support and encouragement, helping clients develop coping mechanisms and engage in recovery-oriented activities. Assist with daily living activities like personal hygiene, meal preparation, and light housekeeping, as well as medication reminders, per the client's recovery plan. Accompany and transport clients to recovery-related appointments and errands. Monitor client well-being, document observations, and communicate effectively with the care team. Ensure a safe environment, recognize relapse triggers, and provide immediate support during crises following established protocols. Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and adhere to ethical guidelines and agency policies, participating in ongoing professional development. Requirements Certification in Recovery Assistant obtained from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) High school Diploma or GED Prior experience in community mental health, case management, or human services is advantageous. Strong skills in conflict management and crisis intervention techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage empathetically with clients.
