, Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a BHT Substance Abuse Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals battling substance use disorders during overnight hours. You will provide compassionate patient care, monitor behavioral health, and assist with crisis management to ensure a safe and supportive setting for clients working toward sobriety. Responsibilities Monitor clients, ensuring safety and adherence to treatment plans in a structured environment Conduct regular assessments of vital signs and observe behavioral changes to identify potential crises early Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate medical documentation Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques to support positive client progress Respond promptly to behavioral or medical crises using crisis intervention and crisis management skills Collect and record data related to patient care, behavior patterns, and treatment responses for ongoing evaluation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical staff, and counselors to coordinate care plans Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding all medical records and sensitive information Requirements Experience working with individuals with substance abuse and mental health conditions, such as PTSD Knowledge of behavioral health principles, crisis intervention, behavior management, and addiction counseling techniques Ability to perform medical tasks including vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic first aid Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, and electronic health records systems Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration Prior experience in special education or working with people with disabilities is preferred but not required Flexibility to work overnight shifts in a fast-paced environment with a proactive attitude toward patient care Join us in creating a safe haven where individuals can find hope and healing.
