Responsibilities Assist clients with daily activities, personal care, and behavior management strategies in accordance with individualized treatment plans. Monitor and document client progress using electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. Implement behavior intervention techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), de-escalation methods, and crisis intervention to ensure safety and promote positive behaviors. Support clients during intake assessments, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and other medical documentation procedures. Engage in social work practices by communicating effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans. Respond promptly to behavioral crises or emergencies using first aid and CPR skills; utilize crisis management protocols to de-escalate situations effectively. Assist in providing specialized support for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ensuring tailored interventions are applied consistently. Qualifications Experience working with children, youth, or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of mental health conditions including PTSD, substance use disorders, and autism spectrum disorders; experience working with these populations is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, vital signs monitoring, and medical records management. Proficiency in crisis management techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and behavior management approaches. Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Excellent client communication skills coupled with compassionate patient care practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in addiction counseling or special education are advantageous.
