Overview:

The RN/Associate Director of Nursing maintains systems to ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and State of Florida licensure standards. Promotes a consistent, consolidated direction for nursing care provision throughout nursing service in accordance with nursing service's philosophy and the hospital's and BHC services' missions. Manages departmental budgetary responsibilities. Responsible for all BHC nursing and technician staff functions. Collects, analyzes, and reports quality data. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in nursing from a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Four (4) years of progressively responsible nursing administration experience.

Licensure or Certification:

Licensure as an RN in accordance with Florida Statute (F.S.). Title XXII (Regulation on Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing). Part I (Nurse Practice Act). [Includes multistate compact licensure] Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from CCNE- or ACEN- accredited program preferred. Must obtain and maintain current CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications.
