Behavioral Support Staff Employment Type:

Full-Time / Part-Time About the Position Everything Peachie LLC is seeking dependable, compassionate, and responsible Direct Care Staff to join our team at our Intensive Behavioral Group Home . The ideal candidate is patient, calm under pressure, dependable, and able to work effectively with individuals who may display challenging behaviors. This position requires someone who understands the importance of following individualized support plans, maintaining professional boundaries, and treating every individual with dignity and respect. Responsibilities Provide direct care and daily support to residents in the group home. Follow each individual's individualized support plan and behavioral support strategies. Provide supervision and maintain a safe and structured environment. Support individuals in developing appropriate communication, social, and independent living skills. Assist with community activities, appointments, recreational activities, and other scheduled outings. Use approved behavioral-support and de-escalation techniques when responding to challenging behaviors. Remain calm and professional during behavioral incidents or crisis situations. Recognize and report changes in behavior, mood, health, or overall well-being. Complete required documentation, daily notes, incident reports, medication-related documentation, and other required records accurately and timely. Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, family members, guardians, and other members of the individual's support team. Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain confidentiality and protect the privacy and rights of the individuals receiving services. Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable home environment. Encourage independence, choice, dignity, and community involvement. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, or in a group home setting is preferred. Experience in direct care, behavioral support, mental health, caregiving, or related human services is a plus. Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work as part of a team. Must demonstrate patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Must be willing to complete all required training. Must be able to pass required background screening and meet applicable employment requirements. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained as required.
