Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Peer Specialist - Whole Health (CPS-WH) to empower individuals on their recovery journeys and promote holistic wellness. In this vital role, you will serve as a peer support advocate, sharing your personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and resilience. Your energetic approach will help clients navigate their mental health and substance use challenges, fostering a supportive environment rooted in trust, respect, and cultural sensitivity. Duties Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals with mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders, emphasizing recovery and wellness strategies. Share personal recovery stories to motivate clients and foster hope for positive change. Assist clients in developing personalized wellness plans aligned with Whole Health principles, including harm reduction and motivational interviewing techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensuring client needs are met holistically. Conduct crisis management and intervention when necessary, utilizing de-escalation skills to ensure safety. Maintain strict confidentiality of client information while documenting progress in electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately. Support clients in developing life skills, improving communication, and strengthening social connections within culturally diverse communities. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or co-occurring disorders. Strong understanding of behavioral health concepts, addiction counseling, harm reduction, and crisis intervention strategies. Demonstrated ability to share personal recovery experiences effectively while maintaining professional boundaries. Excellent client communication skills with an empathetic and active listening approach. Knowledge of social work principles, peer support advocacy, and mentoring techniques. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations and adapt approaches accordingly. Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation; training provided if necessary. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards at all times. Applicants must currently hold an active Certified Peer Specialist - Whole Health (CPS-WH) designation in Georgia. Pay:
$28.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
