Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Patient Sitter to provide dedicated supervision and support to patients in a healthcare setting. This vital role ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients who may require close observation due to medical conditions, recovery processes, or special needs. As a Patient Sitter, you will work closely with medical staff to monitor patient activities, assist with personal care, and create a calming environment that promotes healing and peace of mind. Responsibilities Observe and monitor patients continuously to prevent falls, injuries, or other safety concerns. Assist patients with daily activities such as mobility, positioning, and personal hygiene when needed. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or anxiety. Follow detailed care plans established by healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient supervision. Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status, concerns, or changes in behavior. Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations and interactions as required by hospital policies. Ensure a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety procedures. Experience Prior experience in personal service roles working with adults, adolescents, or elderly individuals is highly preferred. Experience in salon, spa, hotel, or private residence settings demonstrating strong interpersonal skills is advantageous. Background in appointment scheduling or assisting with errands showcases organizational abilities. Familiarity with office building or clinic environments enhances understanding of professional healthcare settings. Proven ability to provide personal transportation assistance or support for individuals with mobility challenges is beneficial. Candidates with experience working in healthcare facilities or similar environments will excel in this role.
