Job Description
Placement Information- 5 CERTIFIED Special education paraprofessionals supporting special education, general education, and inclusion settings Specific assignment details and school locations will be determined after interviews with SCCSS directors and principals. Candidate placement will be based on several factors, including: Relevant experience Candidate preferences The district's highest areas of need The goal is to align each candidate with the most appropriate school and grade level while meeting the district's staffing priorities. The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
