Duties Provide peer support by sharing personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and motivate clients toward positive change Assist individuals in developing coping strategies, utilizing harm reduction techniques, and practicing motivational interviewing to promote recovery goals Conduct crisis management and intervention to de-escalate situations safely and effectively, ensuring client safety at all times Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans that address behavioral health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders Maintain strict confidentiality of client information while documenting interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems Support clients in navigating mental health services, community resources, and social services to enhance their overall well-being Advocate for client needs through peer support advocacy efforts while respecting cultural diversity and individual backgrounds Experience Proven experience working with individuals experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or co-occurring disorders Demonstrated ability in crisis management, crisis intervention, and behavioral health support techniques Strong background in addiction counseling, social work, or mental health counseling preferred Experience working with culturally diverse communities to provide respectful and effective support Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and client record management Excellent client communication skills with an emphasis on empathetic listening and motivational interviewing Knowledge of harm reduction principles and recovery peer support practices is highly desirable Join us in empowering individuals on their journey to recovery!
