Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic ResHab On-Call Specialist to join our dynamic Residential Habilitation team. In this vital role, you will provide immediate support and intervention for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with clients who have developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, substance use challenges, and mental health conditions such as PTSD. Responsibilities Respond promptly to on-call crisis situations, providing de-escalation techniques and behavioral interventions to ensure client safety. Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status, including vital signs and behavioral observations, to inform appropriate response strategies. Administer medication as prescribed following proper medical documentation protocols and ensure adherence to safety standards such as first aid and CPR when necessary. Collaborate with social workers, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care plans focused on mental health and behavioral support. Collect data related to client progress, behavior interventions, and crisis incidents to support ongoing treatment adjustments and reporting requirements. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders. Knowledge of crisis management techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and de-escalation methods. Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration procedures, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation practices. Prior experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders or substance use disorders is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and client/client family education. Ability to work flexible hours on an on-call basis in a fast-paced environment requiring quick decision-making. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in behavior intervention or applied behavior analysis is a plus.
